RESCIND FIRE RESTRICTIONS
Rescind Order for Stage1 Fire Restrictions - Effective September 18, 2024
Violation Penalties:
"Any person or persons violating these Stage II Fire Restrictions set forth herein may be fined up to $5,000 individually, or $10,000 for an organization; and imprisoned up to six (6) months for violating such rules, restrictions, and closures."
"Persons could be held liable for all suppression costs and damages caused by violating such Stage II Fire Restrictions set forth above."

"The Granite County Commission, in open public meeting this morning, voted to re-establish Stage 1 Fire Restrictions (downgraded restrictions), with all fires/campfires remaining prohibited." -Blaine C Bradshaw, Granite County Attorney
September 17, 2024
"Granite County's current Resolution (No. 2024-14; see attached) states that Granite County's Fire Restrictions (Stage 1) will be fully rescinded automatically upon the Beavertail Deer Lodge National Forest Service rescinding such restrictions. The National Forest has rescinded their Fire Restrictions commencing Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 1:00am."
"With this said, Fire Restrictions are full rescinded in Granite County for all private lands under the control of the Granite County Commission commencing Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 1:00 am."
